Paul Jimenez was born in Greenville, South Carolina. He is married to the former Cheri Bennett of Greenville, South Carolina, and is the father of two children, Emma Grace and Harrison. Paul received his Master of Theology Degree from Duke Divinity School in Durham, North Carolina, his Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina, and is a Cum Laude graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Paul states of his ministry, “The aim of my ministry is to instruct and strengthen believers so that they are equipped to love God and evangelize the world. To carry out this ministry, I believe the preaching and teaching of the Word of God is fundamental.”
Prior to becoming Pastor of Taylors First Baptist Church in 2010, Paul served as Teaching Pastor and Local and National Ministries Pastor at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia. He has also served as Legislative Advisor and Staff Associate for Senator Jesse Helms in his Washington and Raleigh offices.
Paul recently served as Vice President of the 2013 Pastor’s Conference of the Southern Baptist Convention. He also served as Chairman of the Resolutions Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention in 2011, and a member of the 2010 Resolutions Committee.
